The CEO of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), H.E. Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad on Thursday, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Shafeeq.

During the meeting, the Minister and the CEO discussed on the ongoing projects financed by the SFD in the Maldives and on deepening the collaboration with the Fund.

Minister conveyed his appreciation for the continuous assistance from the Fund including the approval of the additional USD100 million for the Expansion and Upgrading of the Velana International Airport Project and USD50 million for the Health Sector Development Project.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of the Maldives H.E. Matrek Abdullah Al-Ajalin Aldosari, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance.
