Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Shafeeq and a team of senior officials from the Ministry of Finance visited the islands of Vaavu Atoll this week.

The purpose of the visit was to follow the concerns raised by the residents of Vaavu Atoll during the presidential campaign of His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

Productive discussions were held with members of the Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC), focusing on understanding citizens’ opinions on the government’s performance since assuming power, addressing concerns and implementing solutions.
