The Ministry of Finance hosted a special gathering to honor its development partners as part of the government's ongoing 52 Weeks Celebration. The event, held to express gratitude for their invaluable contributions, highlighted the pivotal role of these partnerships in advancing the Maldives' sustainable development agenda.
The gathering brought together key development partners residing in the Maldives. Attendees include

o Acting WHO Representative from World Health Organization (WHO)

o Country Economist and Resident Coordinator from the World Bank Group

Speaking at the event, the Advisor to the Minister of Finance, Mr. Ahmed Naseer, expressed deep appreciation for the steadfast support of these partners.
"Our relationship with each of your agencies is rooted in a shared commitment to the betterment of the Maldives and the welfare of our people," he said.
"Thanks to each and every one of our partners, we have made strides in areas that are essential to our nation’s growth and resilience. Your contributions have truly transformed lives across the Maldives." Advisor Naseer Added.
The event also acknowledged the efforts of donors outside the Maldives, reflecting the inclusive and collaborative spirit of these partnerships. Mr. Naseer presented tokens of appreciation to the attending representatives, expressing gratitude on behalf of the government and the people of the Maldives.
