The High Commissioner of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Maldives, H.E. Rear Admiral S.M. Abul Kalam Azad, on Wednesday, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Shafeeq. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance.

During this meeting, discussions were held on overcoming developmental challenges. Further discussions were also held on areas for future development cooperation between the two countries.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by Counsellor, Md Sohel Parvez for the meeting. Minister Dr. Shafeeq was accompanied by the Minister of State for Finance Hussain Sham Adam, Deputy Minister of Finance Hassan Miras, Chief Resource Mobilization Executive Dr. Mohamed Yammai and Chief Debt Management Executive Maryam Abdul Nasir.
